Jamie, used AB for quite a while now… for asset management on the art and design side I always thought it did what it was supposed to do and didn’t have any bad experiences… programmers, though, were soon bitching about it and later switched back to CVS… I don’t really have any insights on for exactly what reasons… (but I guess it’s pretty much common agreement already that AB has a hard time “convincing” the programming people… in the end… pure code is not what it originally was supposed to handle…)
Using perforce now for the current project but can’t say much about it yet… I don’t really miss those docs/asset previews yet…
I’ve worked with NxN and alienbrain on and off since version 3 or so, when it was still called MediaStation. I personally think it’s OK for normal asset management, but am ambivalent about the code bits, and very down on their bugtracking solution. I could talk about this for a long long time… but I’m in a meeting right now :)

Do you guys use Alienbrain? People I talk to gush about Perforce but are lukewarm about Alienbrain. I don’t think I’ve met anyone who’s tried both…
